What is the app for?
The Crop Sprayer app supports farmers and agricultural advisors in calculating the right amount of product (chemical or biological) to use on their crop. This includes the total amount of product needed for a specified job, so users can avoid having leftover product going to waste. Once you download the app, you can use it offline in the field without requiring data.
The overuse of pesticides can lead to higher production costs for farmers and can adversely impact food safety and the environment. Therefore, it is important that farmers and agricultural service providers practice rational use of products.
What can it calculate?
The app calculates:
- How much product concentrate to put in the sprayer each time
- How much product concentrate is needed for different size sprayer tanks
- How much product concentrate will be required in total
- How many sprayer tanks refills are needed to cover a given area of crop
