The company’s philosophy is based on keeping the environment close “at heart” and focusing solely on biological – or natural – methods of pest control.
Crop Defender’s goal is to help growers devise the best possible plan for the highest possible yields while minimizing costs and risks. A portal to support the biological control of pests
The CABI BioProtection Portal is a groundbreaking information resource for the biological control of pests. Available on four continents, the CABI BioProtection Portal assists growers and agricultural advisors. It helps them identify, source, and correctly apply biocontrol and biopesticides to tackle problematic crop pests. Users can access the portal in local languages on multiple devices, catering to their specific needs.
In particular, the portal helps users access up-to-date information on nationally registered and available bioprotection products. It is an innovative tool that helps to promote the awareness and uptake of more sustainable approaches to agriculture and horticulture worldwide.
The partnership with Crop Defenders follows the launch, earlier this year, of the CABI BioProtection Portal in Canada. Farmers and growers visiting the portal now have access to detailed non-chemical pest control information in Canada and beyond.
Crop Defenders joins existing partners, sponsors, and donors. It becomes part of the portal’s Development Consortium guiding the ongoing development, including adding countries to the CABI BioProtection Portal.
